Be Ambassadors of Christ, Baba Aladura Charges Provincial Leaders By Mike Oduniyi, Emmanuel Joshua and Michelle Azu
Baba Aladura David D.L. Bob-Manuel, the Prelate of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Worldwide, has charged the newly appointed chairmen of Provinces to be Ambassadors of our Lord Jesus Christ and lead the members of the Holy Order in righteous and holy living which are now the hallmark of the Church.
Addressing a combined PCPC meeting and 2017 Ordination of Lagos, Apapa, Ikeja and Mount Zion Management Council held at the National Headquarters, Surulere, Lagos on Saturday, December 9, 2017, His Most Eminence Bob-Manuel stated that indeed, the Church has entered into a new era in its history, and therefore urged the provincial chairmen to join hands with him in the resolve to return the church to the “days of righteousness and holy living.”
“I encourage you all to move away from those things that divide us and set us against one another. I encourage you all to deliberately strengthen the bonds of fellowship and build love among you, building a new church all of us shall be proud of with love for another,” HME Bob-Manuel charged.
“I know it may not be easy but I am confidently you shall make it. You only need to move away from,” your old selves of carnality and rediscover your spirituality,” he said.
The meeting and the ordination rounded up the 10-days activities marking this year’s Annual General Meeting/Conference of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim which began on November 30 with the Conventional Service.
HME Bob-Manuel reiterated the decisions and actions that had been taken in the past three months since his induction as the Prelate and Orimolade IX on September 7th, 2017.
1. Directive to all provinces and CMCs to embark on building schools and guest houses within the next five years.
2. Growing a string character-based ESCOS membership even in diaspora.
3. The ban on polygamy and divorce in ESOCS.
4. Agreement with the Federal Government through the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) to train 100 members (youths and women) in various marketable skills.
Indeed, this year’s AGM/Conference was a memorable packed with activities that will for long be remembered by members who came from all over the world.
Notably was the appointment of a new Mother Seraph Esther Obaro, as well as the appointment of two female members into the Advisory Board by his Most Eminence Bob-Manuel.
There was also the colourful Conventional Service held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Evans Square, where the Church used the occasion of the outdoor service to further spread the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, win souls for Christ and showcase the richness and glory of God in the ESOCS church and lives of her members.
In attendance of this glorious service was HME Bob-Manuel, Deputy Baba Aladuras, Board members (male and female), and the Three Titled Mothers.
The service was spiced up by special presentations made by the Fogo Olorun Han Band and the Army of Salvation Band (in parade).
Neighbors and passers-bye were not left out during the service as His Most Eminence specially prayed for as many as came that thronged the service arena.
Also, the ESOCS US North Province during the conference organized free medical check-up.
