God is Doing Something New in ESOCS – Elder Emuchay
The Secretary to the Holy Order, Elder (Dr.) Napo Emuchay has enjoined all members of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim (ESOCS) to renew their spirituality and be ready to partake in the new things the Almighty God is doing in the Church.

Delivering the sermon at the 68th Adoption Anniversary Thanksgiving service of ESOCS Mount Zion General Headquarters, Ebute Metta held on Sunday, August 6th, Elder Emuchay said that already, through adoption, members of the Holy Order have free access to God, which meant that anytime we call on God, He is ready to answer us.
He said that while other Christian denominations celebrate harvest, which is the relationship between servant and the master, ESOCS celebrates Adoption, which is a feast of redemption, inferring the relationship between father and son.
“There is one new thing that God has done in the life of ESOCS church by giving us the grace to be empowered to be called sons of God. This is a divine privilege that is given to those who have met His qualification, and it is a divine empowerment which enables us to fall under the protection of God,” Elder Emuchay said.
Taking the theme of his message from the book of Prophet Isaiah, Chapter 43, vs 17-19: “Behold I will do a new thing”, the SAG said the Lord has done a new thing in the life of Cherubim and Seraphim, but added that members must be born again, receive Christ into their lives and believe that the Grace of God is sufficient for us, which are key qualifications to enjoy the new things God is doing in the Church.
The Adoption Anniversary service had in attendance Deputy Baba Aladura Elder (Dr.) D.L. Bob-Manuel; Deputy Baba Aladura J.F. Farinloye; Deputy Baba Aladura Elder (Dr.) H.O. Demuren; and Deputy Baba Aladura Elder (Dr.) S.O. Adewunmi. It drew members from Provinces in Lagos, friends and well-wishers from home and abroad.
According to Elder Emuchay, the service provided the opportunity to give thanks and praises to God for the privilege and grace to witness another adoption year.
The opening prayer was led by Snr. Apostle Taiwo Ewebiyi, while Special Snr Apostle J.O. Dada and Apostle General Dere Otubu (BM) took the first and second lessons, respectively.
