The new Baba Aladura of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Worldwide, His Most Eminence (Dr.) David L. Bob-Manuel, was officially inducted on Thursday, September 7, 2017 with pump and pageantry, and the Prelate promptly declared his readiness and determination to lead the Holy Order to the Kingdom of God.

Delivering the sermon and addressing the large crowd of congregation and invited guests from all parts of the world that thronged the Mount Zion National Headquarters, Surulere Lagos, HME Bob-Manuel, who had stated that his tenure would focus more on promoting evangelism, righteous living and holiness in the Church, called on all members to support him in fulfilling the tasks.

“The Kingdom of God is the desire of every Christian. To get that kingdom of God, to get to that kingdom of heaven, we must lead a Holy life,” said the Prelate.

“Saint Peter said, be you holy for God Himself is holy. We must follow in the foot step of Jesus who was humble, served, loved his followers and cared for them,” he added.

Dressed in a golden flowing cassock, and surrounded by ESOCS Board Members led by his Deputies, Elder Ojiakor, Elder Farinloye, Elder (Dr.) Demuren and Elder (Dr.) Adewunmi, HME Bob-Manuel said he was prepared to serve and provide the right leadership for the Holy Order.

“When people follow the Lord, they face spiritual safety and nourishment. But when they follow their own sinful desires, they risk eternal death caused by spiritual hunger,” he said.

“If you want to live a Christ-like life, let your neighbors see the life of Christ in you, let your co-workers see the life of Christ in you, so that by our manners we can convert more souls for our lord Jesus Christ.”

HME Bob-Manuel said the induction has heralded a new era in the chapter of ESOCS, and enjoined members to rejoice and be ready for spiritual rebirth.

Quoting copiously from Psalm 100, the Prelate said members should be ready to “worship the Lord with gladness and with joyful songs.

The induction service drew attendance from the nation’s Christendom, government officials both at the federal, state and local government levels, as well as representatives of political parties.
