New Burial Dates Announced for Baba Aladura Onyeleonu
The Advisory Board of the Eternal Sacred Order of Cherubim and Seraphim, has announced new dates for the burial arrangement of the departed Spiritual Father and Prelate of the Holy, His Most Eminence Baba Aladura Elder (Dr.) Lazarus Anuba Onyeleonu.
According to a statement released by the Secretary/SAG to the Holy Order, Elder (Dr.) Napo Emuchay, the funeral rites previously slated to commence from July 17 through July 30, 2017, will now hold from Monday, August 14th to Sunday, August 20th.
The change in dates, according to Elder Emuchay, came after extensive deliberations with family of the late Prelate and the plea by the Nkpologwu community, where Baba Aladura Onyeleonu will be buried. The change was also necessitated by the need to first bury His Eminence Elder A.D. Onuoha, whose death occurred before the passing away of the Baba Aladura, Elder Emuchay stated.
According to the new burial programme, the ceremony will kick off with service of songs to be held at all Provincial headquarters as well Mount Zion National Headquarters, Lagos, from Monday, August 14th to Wednesday, August 16th, 2017.
On Thursday, August 17th, a combined wake keep service will hold Mount Zion National Headquarters, Lagos. On Friday, August 18th, the body of the late Prelate will leave the mortuary with a stop at Mount Zion House of Prayer, 75, Ibadan Street, Ebute Metta, then to Mount Zion National Headquarters, Lagos, before proceeding to the Lagos Airport for the onward journey to Nkplogwu.
At Nkopolgwu, an all-night Christian wake keep will be held in the evening of August 18th beginning from 7 pm till dawn. The funeral service and interment will hold on Saturday, August 19th at Nkpologwu, which would be followed by Thanksgiving service at ESOCS Nkopolgwu Provincial Headquarters on Sunday, August 20th.
The outing service for His Most Eminence will hold on Sunday, August 27th at Mount Zion National Headquarters, Lagos at 2.00pm.
