Polygamy, Divorce outlawed in ESOCS – Baba Aladura Bob-Manuel By Mike Oduniyi and Felicia Ayelo
Polygamy and divorce amongst members of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim, will no longer be tolerated and will attract stiff sanctions, the Baba Aladura and Prelate of the Church worldwide, Dr. David D.L. Bob-Manuel has declared.
In an address he delivered at the ordination of junior ranks of the Ebute Metta and Ojokoro Provinces on Saturday, December 2, 2017, HME Bob-Manuel said members should therefore, be ready to make holy living a virtue so as to access our God without hindrances.
“You must have heard that polygamy and divorce are no longer tolerated in the band of Cherubim and Seraphim. The church views such acts with serious concern as offenders shall be made to face disciplinary action,” the Prelate declared.
He referred to the Book of Hebrews chapter 12 verse 2, which states that “Follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”
HME Bob-Manuel charged all members of the Church to endeavor to look unto our Savior and Master, Jesus Christ, “who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Earlier while addressing a combined PCMC meeting of Ebute Meta and Ojokoro provinces, Baba Aladura Bob-Manuel had called on all members of the Holy Order to join hands with him in a building Church that is founded on the love of God and righteousness.
He had stressed that the time has come to return the Church to the days when righteousness and holy living were its hallmarks, adding that the policies that will be made by the Board henceforth, would be tailored towards meeting the challenges of the new era.
